Progress

My bathroom which has been out of action since May now has a floor - a beautiful stone floor. I still haven't chosen a suit, Steve (the neighbour who is installing it) is tearing his hair out. I'm now down to two options, one is ultra modern and the other, heritage. I think I'm going modern. Yally is popping over shortly to try and prise a decision from me.

Talking of Yally, she is moving to Tooting today. Here she is, showing Gracie a picture of her new flat. Poor girl has a terrible cold and doesn't feel much like packing. It's been enjoyable, her living close by, I shall miss her.

These socks are for Philippa's birthday on Saturday. The pattern is a very simple lacy rib and they are knit in Noro Kureyon Sock. They don't match - I hope that doesn't bother her.

I've just broken my reading glasses.

Arrgghh! I have to go to Stamford and get some new ones – can't manage without them.

  1. Make your mind up woman! I hope that it will all be done the next time I come and visit you. I myself have just installed low flush toilets which are, to put it mildly "very interesting". The brand name is Pegasus, and H's first use of his, to use his words, "choked and stabbed Pegasus through the heart". I'll leave it up to your imagination what that means...

  2. Bathroom now ordered but not without much stress. To tired to say more, I could do without days like this.
